There’s nothing quite like a sweet little antique dresser. This one is painted in a custom mixed color of milk paint that is grey with some blue undertones and a hint of purple (in certain light). It changes so much depending on the light when the light and dark areas come through, since I went for a bit of a layered look for the finish. With the technique I use, some of the wood naturally came through, but after it dried I lightly distressed the edges and smoothed out the finish. The whole piece is sealed with clear wax, has new, scalloped, light blue knobs and a pinstripe paper to line the drawers.

I LOVE the look of the dresser. The little details of the sides really gives it character.
Amazing work you've done – just love the colour!
This color is beautiful – I love it! It really compliments the dresser.
Hi Reeves, Love that shade. Have you ever used tung oil as a finish on your milk paint? I like it because it
just seems to really bring out the color in milk paint.
Love the color 🙂
What a beautiful color!
That color is fabulous! I think it would look amazing in a beach house somewhere on the coast. I wish I was in a beach house somewhere on the coast right now. Anywhere warm, for that matter!
