I just finished these french provincial nightstands.
They were found at a thrift store… and were a matching pair. Have to say I was pretty excited for these babies. Before they were plain wood, and dying of a makeover. The top was peeling, which required sanding a couple of times.
To make sure the paint adhered to the nightstands, I primed before painting. After I primed, I sanded them down to get rid of any brush marks. It took a couple coats of paint, and once it dried I waxed both nightstands. I left the hardware as is. It looks great with the color, a medium grey (from Sherwin Williams) that goes with everything!
Anyone else been painting lately? I have been working on a couple pieces, and I still have so much more to do!
