I had a couple bring me this funky plant stand to paint. The original idea was to use it as a little side table, but when they went to the place where they bought it, it was taller than they expected. So, instead of a side table, they are using it as a plant stand in their entryway. (Sorry for the bad before picture).
They told me the colors in their entryway, but gave me the freedom to choose whatever color I thought would go best. They said a red, green, yellow, orange or something like that. I like the burnt orange idea, so I went with it. They were low key and easy they were to work with, which made my job more fun!
The color changes slightly in different lighting, so I moved it around the house for pictures. Sometimes it has more red-ish tones.
Usually when I paint things I use more neutral, toned-down colors that are not too specific (so they can fit in most homes). I am glad I got to paint with a color I would not normally use. I love the way this turned out! What do you think of the orange color? Would have gone bold, or kept it neutral?

Lovely color you chose. Right cheerful and charming.
Been having trouble with my 4G connection, which is not 4G on the best of days..LOL
I have a stand just like this, as I tried to write a few minutes ago, but with two countersunk screws in the top, holding the top onto the post. Bet yours' didn't have that little addition!!! Mine was $5 in charity shop. Now I wonder why so reasonable????? I didn't fill the holes, but painted my table in Mythic Paints white base coat, same as i'm doing the rest of the bedroom furniture. Mine looks good, but yours looks super. Milk Paint??? I wouldn't change a thing about your job. It's fabuloso just as it is. Well done.
