It’s always fun to look back at old projects, and as the year comes to an end, I picked my top ten furniture makeover projects to share with you.
The first piece is the suitcase table I made out of a vintage suitcase and some mid century legs. Not only is it one of my favorites, but it was the most viewed post from this year and was recently featured in a magazine with some of my other work.
I used smokey blue on multiple pieces this year, and this writing desk may be my favorite of them all. I even kept it.
I love a furniture makeover that is a bit unusual, so this geometric nightstand had to be included. I especially love the fact that the walnut is part of the design on the drawer. I am still hoping to do another piece with this pattern soon!
The combination of the blue, the antique style with those turned legs, and the white and black knobs make the bayside dresser another piece I adore. I kind of wish I had kept this one just for the style of the piece. It even made it on the cover of the magazine Make it Over. It’s tiny, but it’s there!
I took a break from the blue and went a little more risky with this bright green dresser. I loved the green so much, especially with the white rose knobs.
The softness of the lavender with the white outline on the drawers makes this dresser part of the list. And I just really love the plum-grey color, it’s so sweet 🙂
This gorgeous grey dresser is the matching tallboy to the bayside dresser. These two had some of the best shapes to start with, and the new paint job just added to it’s charm.
Back to the blue 😉 I accidentally created this layered blue dresser with some milk paint thanks to a limited amount of the actual color I wanted to use. I adore the look and finish on this one.
I got really into painting furniture with milk paint and learned one of my favorite milk paint colors was driftwood, used on this antique buffet.
The last piece I have to share is this pair of nightstands painted black, but dressed up with some emerald hardware. So classy.
It’s been a great year full of projects and great opportunities, and I am so excited for more projects in 2014. I need to get to work! Hope you have a great New Year 🙂

Amazing! Wow, I love all the projects. This is a random question but what color is your wall color? It's the perfect shade and I'm agonizing over finding a nice grey. Also I pretty much want every piece of furniture you shared. Thanks! Erica
